If you have never visited Maven Dental Maryborough, formerly Toothworkx, before, there are few things we would like to tell you. After you have made your first appointment we will send you a welcome pack to tell you a little about us and what to expect at your first visit. Sometimes you may receive this pack on the day if there is not enough time to post it to you.
At your first visit we will take the time to get to know you (and you us) and discuss your dental needs and desires. We will attend to any urgent needs first and, if agreed upon, perform a comprehensive dental evaluation and gather information to make a personalised plan for you. This will take approximately 30 minutes. We ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your first appointment, allowing enough time to fill out the necessary medical documents.
Well planned appointments mean less time away from work or other important activities. Maven Dental Maryborough, formerly Toothworkx, endeavours to meet your appointment needs, in a way that reduces the number and length of appointments required. Treatment that is more extensive or complex will require good appointment timing and planning. If you work on a roster system, it’s a good idea to bring your roster along with you so appointments can be scheduled to suit. Our friendly Patient Service Team will also confirm your appointment with you two days before the scheduled time.
Appointment times vary according to the treatment that is required. Generally a check up and scale & clean appointment with both the dentist & hygienist will take 45 – 60 minutes. General dental work varies but one filling usually requires a 30 minute appointment if it is not very large. A complex dental treatment plan will require different appointment lengths depending on the treatment required.
It is important to remember that your appointment time is reserved especially for you. So, if for some reason you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment Maven Dental Maryborough will need at least 24 hours notice. We reserve the right to charge a fee if you don’t attend your appointment, unless you contact us 24 hours in advance.
Regular visits are important to help prevent future dental problems and to maintain healthy teeth and gums. We encourage you to schedule a regular visit every six months or as recommended by Dr. Noel Commins, Dr. Jeremy Sheng or Mrs Brigette Bygrave.
Our dentists, hygienist and team are very aware that dentistry can feel like an invasive procedure and endeavour to make each and every visit as comfortable and pain free as possible. If you are quite anxious please tell your provider before the procedure commences so extra special care can be taken to make you relaxed and comfortable.
